Everything advertised arrived in one well packed box. The shipping box had absolutely no labeling on it that would indicate its contents. Yeah!
Plenty of Instructions, easy to set up. The poles for the frame were marked so you wouldn’t mix them up. Unboxing to fully functional in 45 minutes. Very nice.
In-line fan is quiet. The adjustable speed is nice, I don’t need to run the fan at full throttle, which keeps the sound down. With the fan operating and the tent closed I get a reading of around 35 dB. That borders on a quiet whisper or a library. It’s a very quiet, white noise.
Circulating fan is very quiet and oscillates nicely and speed fan speed is adjustable.
Charcoal filter came with additional charcoal to refill the filter when needed. The filter is doing it’s job well.
LED array Is working well for me. This complete grow set up does not come with a dimmable light. I haven’t found that I need it.
This size tent is perfect for those with limited space and no need to grow vast quantities. I’m in that category. I’m growing three autos in there right now and it’s perfect. I use 2 gallon pots to slightly stunt the growth of the plants so height is not an issue.
I was curious if it would fit in my standard depth closet and it did very easily. I don’t grow in my closet.
I’m very happy with the quality of the materials for the price. I liked being able to just make one purchase and have it all arrive in one box. Keep life simple.
I would recommend this complete set up without hesitation.

This is great! I fought to get seeds ready to plant for years but was hampered by the inability to control heat, humidity etc. All this crop have germinated and are doing well. As I invest good money on pepper seeds this is good because you seldom get more than ten seeds and you can’t afford to waste them.
SET UP. Easy enough but read the instructions. Certain frame bars go certain places. I had planned on taking it down between seasons. Nope. I don’t think it would last long like that. Also there’s the fan to deal with. Plan where to put it and leave it. Doesn’t mean it’s not built sturdy. Heavy canvas and zipper. But frame is tight fit inside and attempting to repeatedly remove and replace it could damage the lining. Also built a table to raise whole thing a foot. Getting too old to knee on floor.
USING. Mine is in a cold basement. Does not come with heater and light does not produce enough. First I made a table to raise trays to a comfortable height and to allow room for heater. 250watt heater is plenty. Connect to a thermostat control. Had to put a small USB run fan behind it to keep it from overheating the internal breaker when it’s shut down. It would come back on after 30minutes or so but that was too long to keep temp constant.
To control humidity place a metal bucket of water in front of heater. Adjust humidity by varying distance to heater. Humidity meter comes with tent.
FAN. Circulation fan works well. Very quiet and can be run very slow. They recommend putting the filter in the tent. Not really room in one this small. Mounted it overhead. See photo.
HOOKUP. You’re going to need several outlets and timers. Have a timer on circulation fan since it blows in cold air I limit the time it runs. Also out one on light to turn off at night.
OVERVIEW. Big investment for me but has made my growing so controllable and easy that it is totally worth every penny. If you’re serious about growing this is the way to go.
I read some complains that it will not keep ALL the light inside. True. It will leak small amounts in various places. Not a concern for me.

Great kit and price, the right choice!

So far so good – setup was simple enough, and although there are a lot of instructions (too many almost), they could be more clear. That said, it took me about 1 hour to fully setup the entire system by myself so I can’t complain too much. I would suggest assembling the fabric tent to the frame from the bottom side up, and don’t be afraid to apply some pressure to pull it all together. I had a hell of a time trying from the top down. The frame poles could fit a little more snugly; they wobble quite a bit if handled without some care, so the sturdiness of them long-term is questionable but seem to be doing the job, so time will tell.
The light assembly comes with instructions but is already assembled in the box, which was nice. It seems to be more than sufficiently bright with a dial to adjust intensity as required, and really does not put off much heat despite being so bright. The metal panel is solid, very solid. Better quality than I was expecting, so I’m pretty happy with the light overall
Plenty of exhaust/fresh air ports for an array of setup options and the Velcro is strong, as are the cinches on the exhaust ports. Have mine set up with exhaust fan inside, carbon filter outside, and the whole kit near an open window for fresh air. No smell so far, and seems to be good quality.
The only true complaint I have is the quality of the zippers: they seemed very sturdy at first with nice rubber, branded pull tabs. But already with approximately 1-2 tent openings per day for 2 weeks, they tend to get stuck a lot and require some tinkering to resolve, which makes me think it will only get worse.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the purchase as I was comparing brands and kits for weeks, and I believe I made the right choice. Even with the zippers being questionable, I can’t give anything less than 5 stars here; great kit, great price, seeing very good results so far.

Great kit, Faulty outlet timer

Everything was very simple to setup and has been working amazing so far up to flowering however…. I should have went inside the tent after having everything setup to make sure it was functioning as expected but i didn’t. The included outlet timer lets a bit of power trickle through and doesn’t fully shut off the lights and leaves them on to where they look like dim stars. Plants ended up getting way taller than I wanted and believe that’s why, Luckily it didn’t cause any stress or herming but a simple 3 prong to 2 prong outlet adapter fixed the problem (setup –> Light into Adapter Into Timer into Outlet). Removing 1 star since after finding out about that problem since i googled it and there’s plenty of other people having the same problem but they never addressed that in the kit.

I’d recommend this tent bc of the size, quality & this company Spider Farmer. Making it just over 2ft wide is so awesome, it allows for extra room for humidifiers or fans, while still giving you many options for how many plants, 1 , 2 3 or even 4 5 gal pots can easily fit in with tent along with other equipment as you can see in my pics. The height is great too at over 5ft. Really smart to make these slighter larger tent options.
Spider Farmer also helped me with questions & responded fast.
The light is very good & has good reputation. The fan runs a lot quieter than what I’ve experienced with some other brands. I’ve also had no problems with light leaks.
I like how theres a vent in the back of this too. That way you can put that right up against a wall & really helps keep light from getting in while still allowing fresh air in. Smart placement.
For new growers, I think this is a great kit to buy bc this tent is really awesome, but it gives you everything you need to get started right away (minus the soil & seeds)
Easy to set up & this was my 1st time getting a tent & growing anything & while I’m still learning, I’m so glad I invested in this tent kit & will be using it all for long time.

This tent was fairly easy for us to set up. The timer was slightly confusing to figure out and the fan was a little confusing to hang inside. But once we got it figured out it was smooth sailing! There is absolutely 0 light leakage. The fan was so quiet you couldn’t even tell it was on. We did have an issue with our fan. However, after reaching out to Spider Farmer’s customer service, they responded promptly, and are shipping us a new one. Spider farmer has ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ customer service. Once I sent them my information they got back to me within minutes. This is the perfect tent for apartment growing and a great bang for your buck. Plus it comes with a great warranty so no need to worry if something malfunctions. For $399 you can’t beat the price and quality. Our plant is thriving.

Misleading Advertisement of Product Image

The Spider Farmer inline fan shown in the advertised image WITH an orange flange, which is crucial for mounting/hanging, is NOT what you receive with this kit. The straps included do not match the ones shown in instruction manual. They will NOT SECURE YOUR EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT, nor can you shorten them enough to SECURCELY ATTATCH INLINE FAN TO CARBON FILTER. The carbon filter will freely slide, and separate despite using included hose clamps no matter how tight you try to turn the fastener. Now, I’m searching for ADDITIONAL ratchet hangers, and aluminum duct tape. Might as well have bought a cheap kit because I’m needing to find other parts to acquire security in knowing my plants wont be damaged by falling equipment from pointless, weak, untrustworthy items.

This grow light and tent kit is perfect for the small-space grower. Almost everything you need to grow your first crop is included at a very reasonable price. I wish I had started with one of these spider-Farmer kits rather than trying to piece together a much larger (and much more expensive) set up on my own. It was a really easy to assemble and the materials are all of a better quality than I expected. The first thing I checked on the tent was the zippers and they are heavy duty (and the seams are light proof). The light is really bright and I love the dimmer capability. I can start low and turn it up as the plants mature and need more light. Dimming is better for the plants and saves on power expenses. I would absolutely recommend this kit to anyone interested in getting started or growing in a small space. It is an exceptional value for the price

+ Die Lieferung kam wie angekündigt (dhl), ein grosser neutraler Karton, darin alle Teile top verpackt und vor allem vollständig, nichts fehlte. Alle Teile von guter Qualität, da gibts nichts zu meckern. – Das Zelt ist mir etwas zu schlaff, könnte mehr Spannung drauf sein, zieht sich arg zusammen mit Abluft. Die Konzeption der Abluft mit dem Zelt 60×60 passt nicht, AKF und ALV sind einfach zu groß D100, und nicht ideal zu installieren. Alles in allem gebe ich trotzdem 5*, da alles von guter Qualität. Update: Der Akf hat nach einer Woche seinen Dienst eingestellt, hat den Geruch aus der Box nicht mehr gefiltert. SF habe ich angeschrieben, es kam eine Pauschalantwort, bis heute stehe ich ohne Filter da, hab kein gutes Gefühl mehr mit Spider Farmer.

I started buying the components separately and quickly realized that I would be spending more on the parts than if I bought this kit. The tent is stellar, seals very well and has a good amount of options to control airflow. The fan and filter are great quality. The hydrometer is cheap, and keep in mind that the light does NOT dim. It was starting to burn some leaves and I ended up changing the light for a higher quality one. As I built my setup, I replaced a few components, then purchased a smaller grow tent and put them in there. Overall a great purchase to start your journey, but if you really get into the science of growing, you will be dropping some cash on nutrients, soils, seeds, heater, humidifier, dehumidifier, Bluetooth hydrometers, Alexa enabled light timers… let’s just say the wife is not pleased.

Quit working after 2 months.I tried growing plants and they died .So i waited till spring to try again.Light won’t come on.No problem 5 year warranty.THEY say we provide 5-year after-sale and have a maintenance center in the USA.???Wrong after 1 year you pay .I never got 2 months of use and i have to pay something.Wait it gets better…they have no part in U.S.A. like stated and asked me to wait 6 weeks so i did.NOW they still don’t have and blame China.Now they say it’s ordered and coming from China.Never buying any Spider Farms again.All you get is i’m sorry …wait.Aug.15th i got email saying my part was coming.Have not got and will update.

The ducting, pots, nets etc are all low quality, but the real reason I’d pick a different kit is the light and the customer service. My light burnt out at just over a year of use. I contacted customer service and they required that I cover the cost of shipping, which was somehow 25 dollars. I thought fine as long as I get a new light. A couples weeks later, after I contacted the company a couple of times inquiring about updates, I received a light that was clearly used and cosmetically damaged. At this point I’m just moving on and will buy a new light from a more reputable brand. Skip it, there’s better/cheaper options.

Manuals are lacking, carbon filter issues

The instructions are not great and seem like universal manual for all their kits. Did not come with control that attaches to fan like in manual. The thermostat and humidity reader is terrible. No instructions, can’t set anything, can’t change to Fahrenheit. Tent was easy to assemble and looks good, light seems good although a little small compared to their diagram. The thermostat and humidity thing is so bad to bring up twice. No explanation on carbon filter and replacement bags. Working with support who sends tutorial videos that are cut from multiple videos that still don’t address the issue that the air filter is sealed. No changing carbon or reversing anything as described on the product page. 2 full pages of brand stickers included though? Decent package for getting started but some parts of the package are terrible.

I began starting all my seeds indoors with only a light then upgraded to this tent to have more control. It took a couple weeks to get the hang of temperature and humidity but can easily be stable around 70-79* and 50-60% humid with a good spray bottle and tent location. Very sturdy hung all equipment plus saved 2 hanging baskets from frost one night. Great beginners tent. The only thing I changed was I used my old light so I could save the other light as a backup or expansion later. Very happy.

The fan is the only problem area

This tent is serving well. I think a lot of the reviews here are quite over-the-top and some of them may come from cronies; still, generally, they do describe the features and qualities and I won’t repeat or dispute (except for that fan).
One tip: assuming you are putting the fan and filter inside the tent, be sure to ratchet them up as high as possible from the start. It can be difficult to adjust later, and if your plant gets taller than 30″ or so above the soil level, you are going to have problems getting the light high enough to avoid burning the upper foliage.
Now, about the fan. At full speed it is LOUD and uses 50 watts: half as much as the light! With this small tent full speed is not needed, but, when you adjust it down, it is difficult to find a setting that doesn’t result in a penetrating whine that will reach through the whole house, regardless of how “loud” it is. Finally, given that you are concerned about odor, the ONLY way that will work in the late stages and drying is to put both the fan and the filter INSIDE THE TENT. I initially set it up that way, and have it venting outdoors using an insert panel with duct collar that I made for the sliding window. I moved the fan out onto the roof of the tent in preparation for drying process, setting the filter aside (VENTING OUTSIDE) because the point was, to free up all the space in the tent for the drying rack; but the room started to REEK. After improved weather stripping, still reeking. I found that the duct had hundreds of tiny holes and was emitting skunk into the room, replaced with a multi-layer duct and it helped some, but still, reek. I found that the FAN ITSELF was emitting the stink into the room because the housing is three pieces that are just clipped together with no seal… I replaced the fan and FINALLY the reek is gone.
So, if you care about the odor, either put both the fan and the filter INSIDE the tent, or (1) replace the duct with a better one, and (2) either replace the fan with a properly sealed model, or get handy and seal it yourself.
And, if you care about power usage, get a more efficient fan – the one I got to replace it uses under 18W at full speed and is rated for more air than this 50W model.

This tent will hold about 5 – 5lb fabric pots. Best to get a couple pedastals to keep them up off the ground so they’re not sitting in the running off water. That will cause mold or root rot to leave them in the water. Get a couple aluminum pans (they’re like 1 dollar and last a while) for the run off, to sit under the pedastals. Overall, this set up is nice. Keep the light at the appropriate distance however or you will fry your plants. It’s a very powerful, full spectrum light and it’s best if you put your pots in all four corners while seedlings. That way they don’t get burned up.

The good:
-This is a uniquely sized tent, its hard to find one with this footprint and height. The height is absolutely necessary, especially if you’re running some sort of hydroponics setup (Base of plants is ~18″ off the ground) with LED lights (should be 12-18″ above the canopy). A 4′ tall tent would only leave you with about 8″ of grow room running similar equipment.
-The frame for the tent is sturdy, I have no doubt it’ll keep the fan/filter and lights in place.
-Everything works more or less
-The light is pretty decent compared to other kits at this price range

Great Product — Outstanding Customer Service

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products in this Kit. The tent is constructed of a heavy canvas with a reflective Mylar lining. It has a heavy-duty zipper for the door that operates smoothly. It also has a number of vents for intake air and drawstring outlets for the exhaust hose. The 1000 watt light seems very well constructed and it came with rope ratchets for hanging and adjusting the light height. The kit included all the items listed in the product description. It came well packed and once unpacked the complete assembly took 30 to 40 minutes. Might have taken less but I didn’t read the instructions.
Customer Service:
After getting the system set-up and running for a couple of days I noticed a vibration had started in the in-line fan. After a few more days it got objectionably loud. Since this product comes from China I expected a problem with the warranty. Once again I was surprised.
I sent an email to customer service and had a response the next morning from “Sunny”. He asked for information about my installation. I sent a description and a photo. In a follow up email he asked that I check a couple of things on the fan. I did as he suggested and it made no difference. He agreed that the fan must be defective and said they would take care of the problem by replacing the defective fan with a new one. 3 days later I received a new fan via UPS. The new fan operates smoothly.
Bottom Line: This seems to be a company that will follow up after the sale. In my experience they understand the meaning of customer service and take it seriously.

Not all grow tent kits are created equal and there is a range of Amazon offerings.
I selected this seller because the inline blower has a speed control so I can dial in the optimal air flow as well as manage the sound of the blower keeping it marginal. As I compose this review the blower is so quiet I had to get up and check to see if it was operating. It is positioned within 10′ of me. Quiet.
The LED…another slew of Amazon offerings. Currently I am showing a 10th of a degree difference between the ambient room temp and the interior of my tent. I did purchase another LED with different characteristics. My first thought was if I need to augment I can, secondly I can stack seedling trays into two levels effectively doubling my capacity. I volunteer at a 150 acre garden in case someone was wondering why I’d need two levels. The garden has plans for a greenhouse but nada so far. I can also be flexible lighting wise during growth requirements. Another week and I should be nurturing English lavender starts. Anyway, my light meter is registering a range of 1000-1500+ (quite near optimum) using the seller kit LED panel. Extremely happy about this
I upgraded my hydrometer to a transmitting model keeping the base station on my computer desk. Speaking of humidity I’ve attached a photo. It is a mason jar with a cheese cloth wick which I keep at the air intake. It’s a low tech humidifier like a swamp cooler. My humidity changed from 37% prior to a current 52%

Got this tent to keep my cats out of my herbs, (catnip,lavender,mullein and cilantro) ran it about 6 months and the light went out on me. Contacted customer service and Jenny sent a new one over promptly. The light works great for small plants and seed starting! I even had some catnip plants bloom under it.
