First time SF buyer, and this light is worth the money! It fills my 2×4, I keep the driver outside, the sides of my tent do get warm, as they are against the light but I haven’t noticed any wear or damage yet, def keep an eye on it.
EDIT: my driver quit working around 4/5 months, customer service, has been very helpful, answering emails daily, they did need some pics and verification the lite wasn’t working, ( all I would expect from a company) happy with the results (they are replacing my driver) still leaving 5 starts, products fail for no reason…not spider farmers fault.

It’s a very bright LED. I’m used to growing my veggies under a 1000w HPS but want to trim the cost. It doesn’t make much heat at all. Still figuring whether I like it or love it.

I got this to upgrade my tents v2000 after buying a SF1000 for my veg room and falling in love with it…I’m super impressed with this light and spider farmer…it’s full…it’s rich…my plants love it and man will it flower…my buds have perfect structure, they’re dense, frosty and sticky…I’ll probably upgrade my veg/clone room with a second one…awesome light for the money, easy to assemble, easy to install, love that the driver separates with no extra purchases, came superbly packaged…I’m a year into growing and this has upped my game….highly recommend this for any beginner looking to push the limit of their grow space..

I had to disconnect some of the light bars until I can figure out what to do about all the excess heat in there. I’m using a 4 x 4 tent. Still using 6 light bars at 50% and disconnected 4 light bars. Oops on my part

The light arrived with the box slightly damaged which happens. It functions properly but one bar has a rattle inside like there is loose bits and pieces inside. But it does work. I will contact customer support if the bar gives me any issues and update if an issue arises.

Very good light and I’m happy with it. That being said, I hope that when they say it’s for a 3×3 tent it includes BOTH veg and flower.
This light is NOT optimal for the flowering stage on cannabis on a 3×3 tent. It is for the vegetative state of the plant though.
So why not make the light optimal for both? That is my only complain of this particular light. Because now I’m looking for one for a 4×4 that is actually optimal for ALL stages of growth in a 3×3 wich makes zero sense to me whatsoever.
Still a great light though.

Ive been using this light for 2 weeks and some change, Im very happy with it.
Par: Before I moved plants into the tent I tested the par out with an app on my phone, Par was very even across my tent, I didnt find any areas where I was lower or higher. my plants pray all day with this thing..I love it!
Heat: Ive not noticed any heat from the light, I do have the controller outside the tent as thats how I prefer it but the light its self does not give off much heat.
Assembly: Very easy, I had the G3000 setup and hanging in my tent in under 240 seconds. The lights clip in to preinstalled clips which I thought was a very nice touch.
Design: I love it. it’s very minimalist but very sleek at the same time.
I’ll add more to this as I use it totally a full 12 month review. I grow auto flowers with the light so that should be at least 4 grows.
I 100% recommend this light, you cant beat that price for what it offers. I could see this light being powerful enough to fill a 4×4 with auto flowers and be fine. or 3×3 with photoperiods.

Good Light Bad Connector

I bought 2 Spider Farmer G8600’s and both had a shortage due to the over heating of the connector on the wire. One of them I was refunded for and the other one was 1yr old so they wouldn’t take it back. They sent me a new and different connector which was bigger. It wasn’t easy to do but I fixed the light today with the piece they sent me. I liked the lights when they were working but they both broke while I was flowering so I had to use an old light 28 days until I got the other connector.

The connectors have issues. But you can remove them and wire directly.

Great lights. Bad hardware
They have a 2 prong connector that connects the ballast to the light. This will burn out. You can lop off both ends and wire them directly. Had 2 units fail bc of the connectors. Was on a time crunch. Decided to rewire myself. Takes 5 mins. Havnt had another issue.

Thus is a excellent light. Especially if you don’t have the little extra for the SE models. I grow medical cannabis with it. I do You Tube as well. Stopped working after 6 months

My light stoped working almost 6 months to the day from when I purchased .
I check all my fuses, tried plugging it in different plugs.
Must be something internal with the driver and or the LEDs .
I’ve messaged via Amazon/ spider farmer waiting for a reply to get my light replaced. You’d think with the money spent it would be a quality light.
For the 6 months it worked, it was the best light ever .
My entire grow will now be a total loss.

Flimsy Construction

One of the clips the light attaches to was already broken when I unpacked it. Once assembled, the light twists and doesn’t feel very solid (flimsy) and plugged in, it flickers hard. I checked and rechecked all the connections but still flickers or cuts out completely when adjusted or moved gently. Must be a factory defect or has been dropped during shipping. I’d like a replacement ASAP. I’ve had NO TROUBLE with Spider Farmer products in the past, and will continue to support this brand in the future.

This light has a lot of power for the small space it’s in. You can grow some super fat buds but the downfall is the heat output. It’s hard to get it under 80°F for me, which causes the buds to not look as good. If you can get the temps under control, this light is f***ing incredible. Fat buds 2 to 3 feet down the kolas.
